While we are a family that loves pets, unfortunately, we do not allow them at our resort. This policy is in place to ensure the comfort and safety of all of our guests.

We understand that pets can be an important part of your family, but we are unable to accommodate them at this time. If you have any questions or concerns about our pet policy, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our friendly staff is always available to assist you.

As a no-cash resort, we only accept card payments for all transactions. This ensures a safe and convenient experience for all of our guests. However, we understand that there may be certain situations where it’s useful to have US cash on hand.

If you plan on visiting nearby locations outside of our resort, it may be helpful to have some US cash with you in advance. This can include situations such as purchasing items from local vendors or paying for transportation services.

While we do not accept cash at our resort, our friendly staff is always available to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. If you need assistance with obtaining US cash or have any questions about payment options, please don’t hesitate to ask.

We welcome families with children at our resort. When you book the full villa, children of any age are more than welcome to stay with you. The only requirement is that children need to be at least 12 years old to sleep in the glamping area.

If you opt for the by-room package, we only allow guests who are 18 years or older.

We want to make sure that your entire family feels comfortable and welcome during your stay. If you have any questions or concerns about bringing children to our resort, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our friendly staff is always available to assist you.

At our resort in the Bahamas, we use a power system that operates at 60 cycles / 120 volts. This is compatible with most North American devices, so you can rest assured that your electronics will work seamlessly during your stay.

If you’re traveling from outside of North America, it’s important to check if your devices are compatible with our power system. In some cases, you may need to bring an adapter or converter to ensure that your electronics work properly.

We understand the importance of staying connected, even while on vacation. That’s why we have multiple access points with high-speed internet available throughout our entire property. Whether you’re in your guest room, at the dock, or in one of our common areas, you’ll have reliable and fast internet access.

We want to make sure that you have everything you need to stay connected and comfortable during your stay. If you have any questions or need assistance with accessing the internet, our friendly staff is always available to help.

At our island resort, we are fortunate to have two cell network companies, BeAliv and BTC Bahamas. If you need to access cell service during your stay, it’s important to check if they are roaming partners with your company. This will ensure that you have the best possible coverage and avoid any additional fees or charges.

In addition, if you plan on visiting neighboring islands during your journey, you can purchase a different SIM card to ensure that you have reliable cell service throughout your travels.

At Luxumas, we take security very seriously. Over the past 15 years, my family and I have spent a lot of time here without any issues. However, we recognize that unexpected situations can occur and we are prepared to handle them.

Luxumas is a very safe place to be, especially in terms of crime. Our location far from the cities makes it unlikely for crime to occur. The most dangerous thing on the island is a tree, but as long as you stay on the designated guest pathways, you won’t come into contact with them.

In addition, when you’re on the ocean, you’ll be assisted by our top-notch native MIH Teams who have an intimate knowledge of the area. You can feel secure knowing that you’re in good hands.

While we’ve never had any issues with security, we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests. Our priority is to provide you with a relaxing and secure vacation experience.

At our resort, safety is our top priority. While we strive for a 0-incident/accident mentality, we understand that unexpected situations can arise despite our best efforts. That’s why we have multiple options in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests and staff.

Our staff is trained to handle basic emergency situations, and a nurse at a small clinic on a neighboring island is only a 5-minute boat ride away. For more advanced medical needs, there’s a clinic in Black Point that can be reached by boat in 20 minutes. For serious cases that require additional care, we can transport guests to a hospital in Great Exuma by boat and car (a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes). In extreme cases, we recommend flying to Nassau for medical attention.

Rest assured that we have plans in place for any emergency situation, and our staff is trained and ready to respond. We want you to have a fun and safe experience at our resort.
