By room package Inclusions & Exclusions

The vacation fee includes the following: accommodations and amenities as advertised, the services of a qualified staff, all meals served, a standard bar, all expenses related to the operation of the property, and the use of any activity and sports equipment advertised as available during your stay.

The vacation fee does not include, premium beverages and fine wines, excessive alcohol consumption, meals ashore or outside the Lux Eco Retreats properties, all exumas premium toys and services, ground transfers or similar expenses incurred by the guests.

All other package Inclusions & Exclusions

In addition to including accommodations, amenities as advertised, and all expenses related to the operation of the property, our fully customizable experience means that each booking will be tailored to your preferences and unique in its inclusions and exclusions.

Gratuity

At our resort, we prioritize hiring the best staff available and believe in fair compensation for their hard work. We do not subscribe to a « cheap labor » philosophy, and as a result, our employees are treated well and paid accordingly. While gratuity is appreciated, it is not expected or necessary. If you choose to provide gratuity, please be assured that the amount will be distributed among the MIH team at the end of your stay.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule a confirmed reservation, you may be able to do so depending on the nature of the cancellation. Rescheduling requests must be made in writing and sent via email to support@Luxecoretreats.com.

If you are rescheduling 90 days or more prior to the start of the reservation period, you have the right to reschedule your reservation. However, if you are rescheduling less than 90 days prior to the start of the reservation period, rescheduling is not permitted.

If you are permitted to reschedule, you will be given a one-time-only option to reschedule to an alternative date no more than one year after the date of the confirmed reservation. Please note that if you reschedule a reservation, you forfeit the option to cancel it.

A rescheduling fee of $250 must be paid before the rescheduled reservation can be confirmed. Additionally, any upgrade fees resulting from changes in season, package, must be paid in order to confirm the rescheduled reservation. If a credit is created due to rescheduling, the credit amount may be held until the end of your reservation period.

Cancelling

Cancellation charges will apply based on the date that the Resort receives written notice of a Guest’s cancellation. The amount of the cancellation charge will depend on the length of time between the date of cancellation and the Guest’s scheduled arrival date, as follows:

  • If written notice of cancellation is provided at least 90 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the cancellation charge will be 25% of the total purchase price of the Guest’s stay.
  • If written notice of cancellation is provided between 60 and 89 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the cancellation charge will be 50% of the total purchase price of the Guest’s stay.
  • If written notice of cancellation is provided less than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the cancellation charge will be 100% of the total purchase price of the Guest’s stay.

Please note that these cancellation charges are a minimum, and may be higher depending on the specific terms of your booking. Additionally, we recommend that you review the cancellation policy carefully prior to making your reservation, and consider purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes to your travel plans.

Smoking

At Luxumas, we are committed to providing a comfortable and healthy environment for all of our guests and associates. Therefore, smoking is not permitted within any of the buildings on the property. However, guests who smoke are welcome to do so in designated outdoor areas.

We kindly remind guests of our smoke-free policy at the time of booking and upon arrival at the hotel, and ask for your cooperation in adhering to it. Please note that smoking within a guest villa is strictly prohibited. If any evidence of smoking is found within a guest villa, Luxumas reserves the right to charge a Deep Cleaning Fee to the room occupant to cover the cost of restoring the room to a smoke-free condition.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy and comfortable environment for all of our guests and associates.

Force Majeure

Lux Eco Retreats (Luxumas) and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and assigns shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling their obligations under these Terms and Conditions or any other agreement due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, accidents, riots, war, terrorist acts, epidemics, pandemics, quarantines, civil commotions, breakdowns of communication facilities, web hosts, or internet service providers, natural disasters, governmental acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations, national strikes, fire, explosion, or generalized lack of availability of raw materials or energy.

In the event of a force majeure event that continues or has a material impact on Lux Eco Retreats (Luxumas)’ ability to fulfill their obligations under these Terms and Conditions, or to any Guest, Lux Eco Retreats (Luxumas) may terminate the trip and any confirmed reservation immediately. If such an immediate termination occurs, Lux Eco Retreats (Luxumas) shall not be held liable for any costs or losses incurred by the Guests or any other party. If a Named Storm is imminent, please refer to the Hurricane section for further guidance.

Hurricane

At our oceanfront location in the Caribbean, we take the safety and well-being of our guests very seriously. We want to make you aware that hurricane season in the region runs from June 1 to November 30, with the most active period typically occurring in September.

In the event of a hurricane approaching the Bahamas, we will notify all guests as soon as possible and advise that they evacuate the island immediately. For your safety, guests will not be permitted to remain on the property during such severe weather conditions.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience and disruption to your travel plans, and we will do our best to assist you in making alternative arrangements. Guests will receive a prorated refund for their accommodations from the day the property is vacated.

To help protect your investment, we strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Children safety

With the private villa option, we welcome families with children and strive to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. We kindly remind all guests that children must be supervised and accompanied by a responsible adult at all times during the reservation period.

Guests are responsible for ensuring that their children conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful to our staff, and does not cause damage to property. Additionally, guests are responsible for ensuring their children’s entertainment.

For the safety of all guests, we ask that parents or guardians supervise their children at all time in all areas of the property. Children should also be supervised when participating in any on-site activities or using any equipment or facilities.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our guests. If you have any questions or concerns regarding children’s conduct, safety, or entertainment, please do not hesitate to contact our staff for assistance.

Travel insurance

We highly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance to protect yourself against unexpected events. Please note that no refunds will be given for late arrival, premature departure, or any unused days, including those impacted by weather or aircraft delays. With comprehensive travel insurance, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that you are covered in case of any unforeseen circumstances that may disrupt your travel plans.

Guest Responsibility

By accepting this agreement, guests acknowledge that they are responsible for any damage caused to the property, property furnishings, or equipment, resulting from their negligence or carelessness. Guests further agree to promptly replace or repair any damaged items and to satisfy any debts incurred on behalf of the charter party, including reasonable attorney’s fees.

Rates

Please note that all rates are subject to change until the purchase price is paid in full. Additionally, rates may be subject to change at any time due to government taxes or charges or other events beyond the Resort’s control. In the event of such changes, the Resort reserves the right to reissue the invoice for your reservation to reflect any adjustments or to correct any errors in the purchase price computation. All rates are denominated in U.S. dollars. Thank you for choosing our resort and we hope you enjoy your stay.

Lux Eco Retreats right to cancel

We will send you an email confirming your reservation upon receipt of your deposit. Please note that your booking is not considered confirmed until you receive this confirmation email. Until the confirmation email is sent, Lux Eco Retreats reserves the right to decline the reservation request and return any sums paid. Thank you for choosing Lux Eco Retreats and we look forward to welcoming you.

Default in payments

In the event that any installment of the vacation booking fees is not paid by the designated date, the Guest will be notified and given a grace period of seven (7) calendar days to pay the outstanding balance. If payment is not received during this period, Lux Eco Retreats reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain any fees that have been paid.

Drug possessions / Unlawful Acts

Please note that while on Lux Eco Retreats property, the use or possession of any recreational drugs (including marijuana, whether legal or illegal), any controlled substances, firearms, or other contraband is strictly prohibited. Violations of this policy will result in the immediate termination of the trip without reimbursement, and the involved Guests will be handed over to local authorities. Guests will be held responsible for any losses, liabilities, arrests, or detentions of MIH staff or any directors, officers, employees, or contractors of Lux Eco Retreats. Additionally, Guests will be responsible for all losses and costs resulting from any seizures of, or delays to, the property, as well as any damage to the property resulting from a violation of this policy or any applicable drug laws or regulations.

Outside parthener companies

While we strive to make your experience as easy and convenient as possible, we work with various outside partner companies to provide additional services such as plane or boat charters, or condo rentals. Please note that each of these companies operates independently and has their own policies and terms. While we are here to assist you in any way possible, we cannot be held liable for any issues or incidents that may arise from working with these partner companies.
